Floatzilla Registration

Online registration will close Thur, Aug 19 at 11:59 PM. Late registrations will be accepted in-person at Credit Island [Davenport] on Fri, Aug, 20 from 4-8 PM and at all launch locations on Sat, Aug 21.

Online registration is a two-part process.

The Advanced Paddle is now full. No more registrations will be accepted for locking through L&D 15. Paddlers can sign up for the Intermediate Trip from Ben Butterworth and use the portage.

Every Boat Counts!! This registration is for one kayak or canoe. If you are registering for more than one boat, please complete this registration through payment and return to this page for each kayak/canoe.

The registration fee is $10 per paddler. If you have a tandem kayak or canoe you need to add info for each paddler below and select the appropriate quantity (1, 2, 3, or 4 paddlers) when charging the fee to your credit card.

Registration includes one Floatzilla t-shirt per paddler, commemorative boat sticker, registration wrist bands, free 'River Roots Live' music and rib fest, free parking, and free shuttle to off-site parking for 'floats.' PFDs are required to be worn at all times for on-water activities for all paddlers.

  • Registration packets and t-shirts can be picked up Fri, Aug 20 or Sat, Aug 21. More info posted later and details will be emailed to all registrants the week before Floatzilla.

    Lake Potter at Sunset Park, Rock Island, is recommended for paddlers of all skill levels. Credit Island, Davenport, is recommended for intermediate paddlers with experience paddling on rivers/in swift current. Ben Butterworth Parkway, Moline, has two skill levels: one is recommended for intermediate paddlers and will portage at Sylvan Island; the second is recommended for advanced paddlers because the group will lock through Lock 15.

    In registering for myself or other participants, I understand and agree to absolve all cities, sponsors, organizers and supporters, be they individuals or organizations, singly or collectively, of all blame for any injury, misadventure, harm, loss, or inconveniences suffered as a result of taking part in Floatzilla or any activities associated with the event. I also agree to obey all safety rules posted for the event. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must wear a certified personal floatation device.
